Mount Morrison. - Matthew 52 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.Matthew 5
Be a hearer and a doer. - Matthew 7:24-2924 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Don't get confused. - Matthew 6: 27-3027 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Painted Mines. - Job 28:9-159 Miners dig the hardest rocks,Dig mountains away at their base.10 As they tunnel through the rocks,They discover precious stones.11 They dig to the sources of[b] riversAnd bring to light what is hidden.12 But where can wisdom be found?Where can we learn to understand?13 Wisdom is not to be found among mortals; No one knows its true value.14 The depths of the oceans and seasSay that wisdom is not found there.15 It cannot be bought with silver or gold.
Understanding. - Job 28:23-2823 God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.24 For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;25 To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:27 Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
Erosion. - Job 14:17-2217“My transgression is sealed up in a bag,And You wrap up my iniquity.18“But the falling mountain crumbles away,And the rock moves from its place;19Water wears away stones,Its torrents wash away the dust of the earth; So You destroy man’s hope.20“You forever overpower him and he departs; You change his appearance and send him away.21“His sons achieve honor, but he does not know it;Or they become insignificant, but he does not perceive it.22“But his body pains him,And he mourns only for himself.”
Breaking Through - 2 Corinthians 3:17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Time. - Colossians 1:21-2321 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— 23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
Moldable. - Isaiah 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Live in the Spirit. - Romans 8:1-4 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Which way to go. - Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
Lessons learned by the lake. - Psalm 119:70-71Their heart is covered with fat, But I delight in Your law. It is good for me that I was afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.
Lake of Fire. - Psalms 16:10For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
